Crypto authorisation: an evidence worksheet
A brand name, a pending application and an authorisation are different records. This worksheet helps compare evidence; it does not give a legal opinion or certify a provider.
Find the official record
ESMA's databases and registers link to the interim MiCA register of authorised crypto-asset service providers, white papers and non-compliant entities. ESMA identifies national competent authorities and the EBA as suppliers of register information.
Build a dated comparison
| Field | Question to resolve |
|---|---|
| Entity | Which exact legal entity serves this customer and domain? |
| Activity | Which service is offered, and which record addresses that service? |
| Territory | Which country and customer location does the evidence concern? |
| Effective date | When did the status apply? Has a later notice superseded it? |
| Authority | What does the relevant national authority say if records conflict? |
| Uncertainty | Which field remains unconfirmed, and what document would resolve it? |
Do not infer custody arrangements, deposit protection or product suitability from a name appearing in a register. Record those claims separately and follow their own supporting documents.
