Gas units measure execution work. Multiply gas units used by the effective price per unit to estimate a fee. One gwei is 0.000000001 ETH. Rollup execution and data-publication fees require separate network-specific estimates.
Ethereum gas fee estimator
Estimate a fee from your inputs. Presets are editable examples, not live wallet quotes. A gas limit is a cap; it is not necessarily the amount consumed.
Estimated fee in ETH:
| Network | Architecture | Estimated Gas Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Ethereum Mainnet | Layer-1 PoS | $9.18 |
Reproduce the estimate and understand its limits
Fee in ETH = gas units used × effective gas price in gwei × 10⁻⁹. Multiply by your ETH/USD price for a dollar estimate. At 150,000 units, 18 gwei and $3,400 per ETH, the estimate is 0.0027 ETH or $9.18. A standard native ETH transfer is the 21,000-unit example; token-contract execution varies. Use an effective gas price including the relevant base and priority components. A fixed percentage of an Ethereum fee cannot quote a current Base or Arbitrum transaction, so those comparisons are excluded. Ethereum documentation: gas and fees.
